Worship

Worship brings us together

Worship brings us together, takes us out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and helps us to reaffirm and understand more about our faith. Services include prayer, readings, music, sermons and hymns which all draw on the wisdom of those who have gone before us.

We may come from many different places, with different experiences, languages, hopes and fears, but our common worship is a shared act which brings us together in unity and community. Anyone can join in, and you can participate in different ways (or just listen and take it in). It’s being there that counts.

Our worship follows traditional patterns, handed down from the Christians of many centuries who have worshipped and prayed before us. It is enhanced by the rich and varied music of the English cathedral choral tradition.

Some of our services use the traditional language of the Book of Common Prayer published in 1662, but our main Sunday service (10.30am) uses the updated language of the Church of England’s Common Worship.

Please join us – you will be very welcome
