On Sunday we said Farewell (but not Goodbye!) to David Houlder, who has been Assistant Organist at Leeds Minster since 2003, and now takes a well-earned retirement.
David goes with our warmest thanks and appreciation for his superb musicianship, his mastery of the King of Instruments, his brilliant skills as an accompanist, his wry wit and his unfailing service to the Minster and its choir. He will be greatly missed.
Over the years he has earned the gratitude of the generations of young musicians who have benefitted from his commitment and skills as a teacher and educator, many of whom have taken the opportunity of his retirement to make their thanks known.
David, we wish you a long, peaceful and healthy retirement, and we look forward to welcoming you back whenever you wish to drop in.
