As part of the nationwide celebrations for the King and Queen’s Coronation, the Minster hosted a Civic service on Sunday 7th May. We welcomed the Lord Lieutenant, the Lord Mayor of Leeds, the High Sheriff, and civic and faith leaders from across the city. The choir were on top form singing music including Parry’s I Was Glad, as featured in the Coronation itself; and Bishop Arun Arora preached. On this historic weekend for our nation, the service was a joyful occasion bringing people together from across Leeds.
God save the King!
