On Sunday 27th July we remembered the Leeds soldiers who helped to change the course of the First World War.
Members of the Castleford Branch and Leeds Branch of the YVRA, as well as the Lord Mayor of Leeds, the Mayor of Morley, Territorial Soldiers and a member of a Canadian Regiment.
The day commemorates the 365 troops, many from the 8th (Leeds Rifles) Battalion, who died at Bligny Ridge in France in July 1918.
A memorial stands outside the Minister, dedicated to the men who gave their lives that day.
