Come and explore the concept, culture and context of this treasure of Leeds in an illustrated lecture given by Prof. Joyce Hill.

Its context is clearly Christian, but it also draws upon Germanic secular mythology. How can we interpret it? Following the lecture, there will be an opportunity to look again at the Cross itself.
